HMMWV, Humvee (short for "High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle") — is an American military off-road vehicle with superior mobility, in service with many countries worldwide.

The vehicle possesses high cross-country capability and is suitable for air transport and paratrooping.

Since its adoption by the US Armed Forces in the 1980s, various modifications have been created based on the HMMWV: primary military vehicle, light truck, ambulance, mobile radar and SAM systems, engineering and armored vehicles, and more.
